The Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) has reached a "settlement in principle" with Gemini over a multi-year lawsuit over Gemini Earn's crypto lending program, subject to final SEC approval. The SEC sued Gemini and Genesis Global Capital in 2023, accusing them of offering unregistered securities to retail investors. Gemini, founded in 2014, recently raised $425 million in a Nasdaq IPO.
