Li Chenggang: We will never seek any agreement at the expense of our principled position, corporate interests, and international fairness and justice

On September 15, Li Chenggang, representative of international trade negotiators and vice minister of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, said on the 15th that with regard to the TikTok issue, China has always opposed the politicization, instrumentalization and weaponization of science and technology and economic and trade issues, and will never seek any agreement at the expense of principled positions, corporate interests and international fairness and justice. China will resolutely safeguard national interests and the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese-funded enterprises, and carry out technology export approval in accordance with laws and regulations. At the same time, the Chinese government fully respects the wishes of enterprises and supports enterprises to conduct equal commercial negotiations on the basis of market principles.
