Blockchain data tracking firm Arkham said the US government seized $250 million worth of BTC, which is currently stored in Arkham. The US government obtained 3,940 BTC from drug trafficker Banmeet Singh, which was confiscated at trial in January 2024.
According to court documents, from 2012 to 2017, Singh was responsible for selling controlled substances on darknet marketplaces and distributing them across the United States.
