Lobby group calls for blockchain to be included in UK-US "technology bridge" agreement

Ahead of Mr. Trump's visit to the UK next week, a number of UK trade groups have urged the government to include blockchain technology in any co-operation agreements with the US on technology innovation. A dozen groups representing the financial, technology and cryptocurrency industries said in a letter to the UK business secretary that distributed ledger technology should be a core component of the "UK-US technology bridge". Mr. Trump's state visit will lead a delegation of tech leaders including Sam Altman, founder of OpenAI, and Jen-Hsun Huang, chief executive of Nvidia.
