Andrew Webley, chief executive of Smarter Web Company, the UK's largest bitcoin holder, said the company was looking at acquiring troubled rivals to boost its capital base. Mr. Webley also said the company was keen to enter the FTSE 100 index of the UK's top 100 listed companies. He also noted that a name change was "inevitable" but said it needed to be "handled properly".
According to BitcoinTreasuries.NET data, The Smarter Web Company is the 25th largest corporate Bitcoin vault in the world and the largest in the UK, currently holding 2,470 bitcoins worth nearly $275 million.
