U.S. stocks close: Major stock indexes close up, NVIDIA rises more than 3%

U.S. stocks closed Monday, with the Dow initially closing up 170 points or 0.46 percent, the S & P 500 up 1 percent, and the Nasdaq up 1.1 percent. Tesla (TSLA. O) rose nearly 2 percent and NVIDIA (NVDA. O) (MU. O) rose 3.7 percent. The Nasdaq China Golden Dragon closed down 0.1 percent, Li Auto (LI. O) rose more than 4 percent, and NIO (NIO. N) rose more than 2 percent.
