5月7日讯，当地时间6日晚间，以军持续对拉法东部地区发动空袭和炮击。有巴勒斯坦媒体未经证实的消息称，以军地面部队也已参与对拉法东部地区的进攻。与此同时，巴勒斯坦伊斯兰圣战组织（杰哈德）下属武装派别“圣城旅”称其向以色列境内发射多枚火箭弹。根据以色列当地媒体消息，以色列靠近加沙北部边境的城镇斯代罗特遭到6枚火箭弹袭击，其中2枚被拦截，4枚落在城郊空地。袭击未造成人员伤亡。
