Nemo, the DeFi protocol on Sui, released an accident report saying that there were security bugs in the flash_loan and get_sy_amount_in_for_exact_py_out functions in the contract, which were exploited by attackers, causing about $2.59 million in asset losses. The attack originated from the developer launching new functions without adequate audit, and did not fix known risks in time. The main funds were transferred to Ethereum through the cross-chain bridge. The core functions of the protocol have been frozen. The vulnerability patch has been submitted for emergency audit. The team is formulating user compensation and asset tracking plans.
