On September 10, according to a report by Theminermag, Bitmain has filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court to reclaim thousands of bitcoin mining machines it had in custody at Orb Energy, accusing the Texas company of misappropriating digital assets, obstructing access, and damaging millions of dollars worth of equipment.
In an emergency motion filed on August 27, Bitmain argued that under the escrow sale agreement, Orb Energy's 2,700 Antminer servers at the Van Vleck facility remain the property of Bitmain and should not be included in Orb's bankruptcy assets.
