CoreWeave (CRWV) announced the launch of a venture capital arm focused on early-stage artificial intelligence startups. The new fund, called CoreWeave Ventures, will focus on investing in startups developing artificial intelligence tools, infrastructure or applications. The company did not disclose how much it will invest, but sees the move as an extension of its broader mission of supporting machine learning and generative artificial intelligence high-performance computing.
Previously, it was reported that CoreWeave is acquiring bitcoin miner Core Scientific (CORZ) in a $9 billion all-stock deal. The merger was announced in July and is still subject to shareholder and regulatory approvals.
