At the 2025PayPal China Cross-Border E-commerce Conference held in Shenzhen this afternoon, Su Lei, head of sales for PayPal China, and Tony Yu, senior manager of PayPal and head of the technology integration partner team in China, told the Financial Union that as soon as the fourth quarter of this year, the scan code payment function with WeChat Pay will be realized through PayPal World (that is, PayPal users can pay by scanning the WeChat Pay QR code), so as to realize the interconnection in the cross-border transfer field. When the reporter asked "whether there will be similar cooperation with other domestic payment companies in China besides WeChat Pay," the above-mentioned person said, "We have been open to choosing partners."
