According to official news, the U.S. SEC Cryptocurrency Working Group has announced that it will host a public roundtable on financial regulation and privacy on Friday, October 17, from 1 to 4 p.m. at SEC headquarters. Following the previously held "Spring Accelerated Cryptocurrency Clarity" roundtable series, the Presidential Digital Asset Executive Order, and the Presidential Digital Asset Working Group Report, Commissioner Hester M. Peirce directed the Cryptocurrency Working Group to take additional steps to promote U.S. leadership in digital assets and fintech while protecting economic freedom. This Financial Regulation and Privacy Roundtable is designed to protect technologies for individual privacy and to provide in-depth discussions on policies related to financial regulation. This roundtable is open to the public and will be held at SEC Headquarters, 100 F Street, Washington, D.C.
