Old Const, a hosting provider that bought Bitmain's "HASH supercomputing servers" and agreed to provide hosting services, has filed a lawsuit against Bitmain, a maker of bitcoin mining machines, alleging that Bitmain "fabricated an alleged breach of contract in order to terminate the agreement immediately".
In addition, Old Const accused Bitmain of threatening to seek a "writ of replevin" outside of Texas jurisdiction. Old Const argued that Bitmain's move violated the Escrow Services Agreement signed by the two parties in November 2024, which stipulated that any legal disputes should be resolved in Texas.
Old Const's lawsuit asks the court to issue temporary injunctions and restraining orders to prevent Bitmain from obtaining any seizure orders from courts outside of Texas.
