ItaúAsset Management, Brazil's largest private asset manager, has created a dedicated cryptocurrency division and appointed João Marco Bragada Cunha, a former Hashdex executive, to head it. The division builds on ItaúAsset's existing cryptocurrency offerings, including the bank's bitcoin ETF and a retirement fund that offers digital asset investments. ItaúAsset manages more than R $1 trillion ($185 billion) of assets for clients.
