The three major U.S. stock indexes collectively closed lower

The three major indices of US stocks collectively closed down, the Dow Jones index fell 0.48%, the S & P 500 index fell 0.32%, and the Nasdaq composite index fell 0.03%. Chip stocks mostly rose, Broadcom rose more than 9%, Micron Technology rose more than 5%, ASML and TSMC rose more than 3%, but NVIDIA closed down 2.7%.
