The Uniswap community is voting on an important proposal to establish a new legal entity in Wyoming to support off-chain operations.
"The new legal entity, called'DUNI ', will be dedicated to preserving Uniswap's decentralized governance structure while enabling interaction with the off-chain world," the proposal reads.
According to the proposal, off-chain participation includes activities such as signing contracts, hiring service providers, and fulfilling regulatory and tax obligations. The proposal emphasizes that the legal entity will not affect Uniswap, its on-chain governance, or its native token, UNI, in any way.
