The number of job openings in the US fell to its lowest level in 10 months in July, adding to trends suggested by other data showing weaker demand for labour amid heightened policy uncertainty. Data released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics on Wednesday showed that the number of job openings fell to 7.18 million in July from a downwardly revised 7.36 million in June. The median estimate in a survey of economists was 7.38 million.
