Paradigm's Ethereum Reth execution client side encountered a bug on Tuesday, causing the node to stall. Paradigm CTO Konstantopoulos shared a set of commands to restore the node, but the root cause of the vulnerability has not yet been determined.
According to an article on Paradigm's GitHub page, the vulnerability appeared at block height 2327426, affecting Ethereum mainnet versions 1.6.0 and 1.4.8. Although Konstantopoulos shared a set of commands for operators to recover Reth nodes, Paradigm is still investigating the root cause of the vulnerability. Reth is Paradigm's client side of the Ethereum execution layer developed using the Rust programming language, focusing on high performance and modularity.
