Hong Kong-based Fosun Wealth Holdings has launched tokenized shares in Israeli healthcare company Sisram Medical. The company is listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, a move that also fits with the city's strategy of building a cryptocurrency and blockchain hub.
The shares, which represent a market capitalization of about $328 million, have been deployed through Vaulta, Solana, Ethereum and Sonic, according to a statement released Tuesday. The company said the plan leverages Vaulta's "BankingOS" and integrates Solana into its technology stack for issuance and settlement.
Sisram Medical, an Israeli medical technology company with the ticker symbol 1696.HK, is the first equity asset to be introduced under the tokenization program. Fosun also plans to further tokenize corporate bonds and stocks in the future, but has not disclosed the specific companies involved or the timeline.
