On September 1st, according to the statistics of the State Film Administration, the box office of summer movies in 2025 was 11.966 billion yuan, and the number of viewers was 321 million, an increase of 2.76% and 12.75% respectively, and the box office of domestic films accounted for 76.21%. The top five films at the box office were: "Nanjing Photo Studio" 2.89 billion yuan, "Langlang Mountain Monster" 1.455 billion yuan, "Catching the Wind" 879 million yuan, "Chang'an Lychee" 678 million yuan, "Jurassic World: Rebirth" 567 million yuan. As of now, the total box office of Chinese movies in 2025 (including overseas) exceeded 40 billion yuan.
