California Governor Gavin Newsom recently revealed plans to launch a cryptocurrency called the "Trump Corruption Coin" in a direct response to Donald Trump's controversial actions in the crypto space, particularly Meme Coin.
Gavin Newsom said on the "Pivot" podcast that the Meme coin, named after Trump's alleged scandal, is part of his broader "Campaign for Democracy" plan, and the funds raised will be used for gerrymandering and voter awareness campaigns.
Gavin Newsom said in an interview: "We are about to launch a Terrier coin. Trump, you see who is more popular with your coin or ours." When asked if it would be called Gavin Coin, he replied: "No, it's called Trump Corruption Coin."
He added: "We just want to raise the heat and make people aware of the absurdity of this." Gavin Newsom called Trump "one of the biggest liars of our time," adding: "None of this is normal."
