The Ethereum Foundation Ecosystem Support Program (ESP) has suspended open grant applications and plans to announce new priorities and programs in the fourth quarter of 2025. In 2024, ESP provided nearly $3 million to 105 projects through the open grant program.
The ESP said the change is aimed at moving from a reactive model to a more proactive model to better support the Ethereum ecosystem. During the pause, the ESP team will continue to support existing grantees and provide non-financial support to projects through office hours, including services such as mentoring, feedback, and resource docking.
