Former Los Angeles mayor Antonio Villaraigosa has been hired as a policy advisor to Coinbase. Villaraigosa will join the cryptocurrency exchange's global advisory board.
Faryar Shirzad, Coinbase's chief policy officer, said Villaraigosa would advise Coinbase's leadership team to advance "global economic freedom".
