According to Cryptoslate, Argentina's opposition party has reopened an investigation into President Javier Milei's role in the LIBRA scandal and seized on new corruption allegations that rattled the government weeks before the October election.
Five opposition parties, representing 136 of the 257 members of the House of Representatives, voted to reopen the case despite opposition from Mr. Milei's allies. The committee set a deadline for reporting on the case on November 10, weeks after Argentine voters went to the polls.
The commission, originally set up in April but largely paralysed by bureaucracy and congressional hurdles, was relaunched on Aug. 28 after leaked recordings accused Milley and his sister, Karina, of being involved in another bribery scheme.
