Mr. Trump has threatened to impose significant tariffs on countries that impose digital taxes, just days after Zuckerberg, chief executive of Meta Platforms (META. O), raised concerns about the tax in a White House meeting. Mr. Zuckerberg met privately with Mr. Trump late last week to discuss the digital services tax, according to people familiar with the matter. Meta confirmed the meeting in a statement: "Mark Zuckerberg visited the White House last week to discuss Meta's infrastructure investments in the US and to advance US technology leadership abroad." A White House spokesperson did not respond.
