According to an official announcement, Tether today announced plans to launch USDT on the RGB protocol, a next-generation protocol for issuing digital assets based on the Bitcoin network.
The RGB protocol has recently been officially launched on the mainnet through the 0.11.1 version. Its original intention is to enable Bitcoin to break through the single attribute of "store of value". By supporting private, scalable and user-controlled asset issuance, RGB opens the way for stablecoins to achieve "native existence" on the Bitcoin network. For TEDA, this means that USDT will be able to complete transactions directly on the world's most secure and decentralized network (Bitcoin Network), providing high-speed, private and lightweight payment services to billions of users around the world.
