The Miner Mag reports that cryptocurrency miner Hut8 has announced that it has received $330 million in credit support to build four large infrastructure projects in the United States, expanding a total of 1.53GW of capacity.
The projects are spread across Louisiana, Texas and Illinois and range in size from 50 MW to 1,000 MW. Funding sources include a $200 million revolving credit with Two Prime and a $130 million extended credit from Coinbase at an average cost of 8.4%. In addition, Hut8 has launched a $1 billion stock offering program and is in talks with banks about project financing options. The company currently holds more than 10,000 bitcoins, worth about $1.20 billion, as a liquidity reserve.
