Crypto.com will sponsor more sporting events after pledging to be the title sponsor of the F1 Florida Grand Prix. Crypto.com chief marketing officer Steven Kalifowitz said digital asset trading platforms are using sports as a catalyst to reach non-cryptocurrency enthusiasts, and Crypto.com will redouble their efforts to execute their strategy.
Kalifowitz said Crypto.com has seen a significant increase in visibility since focusing its marketing efforts on sports, adding that Crypto.com now has more than 100 million users. The company, which recently postponed a planned retail expansion in South Korea and is in the midst of a hiring drive, expects its headcount to increase by 1,400 after cutting a fifth of its workforce to rein in costs following the market slump in early 2023.
