According to Bloomberg, Eric Yip, executive director of the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission, and Johnny Ng, a lawmaker, have been removed from the list of speakers at the Bitcoin Asia conference to be held on August 28-29. The South China Morning Post, citing sources familiar with the matter, said the two withdrew after being instructed not to interact with Eric Trump, son of US President Donald Trump. The conference will be held on August 28-29, and Eric Trump is listed as the keynote speaker as the executive vice president of the Trump Group. An expert with ties to Beijing said the instruction was to avoid "cooperation or flattery with Trump".
