U.S. stocks closed: The three major stock indexes closed up slightly

U.S. stocks closed Wednesday with the Dow initially up 0.3 percent, the S & P 500 up 0.24 percent and the Nasdaq up 0.2 percent. NVIDIA (NVDA. O) edged lower and Robinhood (HOOD. O) fell 5.4 percent.
