China's LinkLogis has reached a cooperation agreement with XRP Ledger to launch its digital supply chain finance application on the public chain to promote the commercialization of LinkLogis solutions.
Funding for supply chain finance typically comes from banks, but it can also be raised through the issuance of asset-backed securities (ABS) - the underlying asset of which is a set of unpaid invoices. In this model, suppliers do not need to rely on bank payments, and the funds will come from the sale of asset-backed securities. In the announcement, Lianyi Finance mentioned that it is exploring the trading business of RWA in the supply chain finance sector. In addition, the company has also established a joint venture with Standard Chartered (Standard Chartered) to establish Olea, which focuses on cross-border trade finance and has obtained a capital markets license to carry out blockchain-based asset tokenization business. However, Olea is a separate entity and the partnership with XRP Ledger does not involve the company.
