PetroChina plans to acquire gas storage companies for 40 billion yuan

On August 26, PetroChina (00857.HK) announced that the board of directors passed a resolution on August 26, 2025, approving the transferee and the transferor to sign a acquisition contract to acquire all the shares of the target company. The total consideration under the acquisition contract is RMB 40.016 billion yuan (excluding taxes and fees); among them, the consideration under the acquisition contract of Xinjiang Gas Storage is RMB 17.066 billion yuan, the consideration under the acquisition contract of Xiangguosi Gas Storage is RMB 9.995 billion yuan, and the consideration under the acquisition contract of Liaohe Gas Storage is RMB 12.955 billion yuan. The consideration is based on the initial evaluation value of the appraiser.
