Shares of trading platform Robinhood Markets and bitcoin treasury firm Strategy, which are not included in the S & P 500 Index, both fell in after-hours trading on Monday against the backdrop of a broader market decline.
Wall Street has long expected Robinhood to be included in the S & P 500 Index, and Strategy recently qualified as the value of its bitcoin holdings rose, driving up its market capitalization. Shares of Robinhood (HOOD) fell 0.5% to $107.40 in after-hours trading after closing down 1.26% on Monday. Shares of Strategy (MSTR) also fell on Monday, closing down 4.17% on the day and falling a further 0.6% to $341 in after-hours trading.
