Marco Digital Technology (01942) announced that the Group has recently indirectly invested US $500,000 (approximately HK $3.925 million) (the investment) in ALT5 Sigma Corporation (NASDAQ: ALTS) (ALT5) through the subscription of member interests in a fund (the fund). The fund, together with a number of the world's largest institutional investors and well-known cryptocurrency venture capital companies, participated in the recent issuance (issue) of ALT5, with World Liberty Financial, Inc. (WLFI) as the lead investor.
The Group believes that this investment is an investment opportunity with capital appreciation potential, which can strengthen the Group's investment portfolio in the Web 3.0 (Web3) and decentralized finance (DeFi) sectors, enabling the Group to embrace the rapid development of Web3 and the cryptocurrency ecosystem, including digital asset trading and payment solutions, and strategically achieve the Group's broader goal of exploring and participating in the cryptocurrency ecosystem.
