According to CoinDesk, the price of Ethereum broke through $4,900 on Sunday night, reaching a new all-time high of $4,946.
Crypto trader Crypto Rover predicts: "ETH held by exchanges has been decreasing recently. Reduced exchange holdings could lead to a reduction in supply, which could push prices higher." Miles Deutsher, another analyst, adds: "BTC has weakened, but ETH has not. While BTC's upward trend stalled near its highs, ETH is building strong buying momentum, showing relatively clear upward momentum."
Some analysts have warned that weekend breakouts tend to be followed by pullbacks, with a short-term pullback expected early this week.
