Bitcoin vault company Metaplanet was upgraded from small-cap to mid-cap in FTSE Russell's September 2025 semi-annual review to be included in the flagship FTSE Japan index, according to Cointelegraph.
The index provider updates and adjusts the index on a quarterly basis. Metaplanet was added to the FTSE Japan Index due to its strong performance in the second quarter. The index consists of mid-cap and large-cap companies listed on the Japanese exchange.
