Commission-free trading platform Midas raises $80 million at a valuation of nearly $1 billion

According to Bloomberg, Turkey's first commission-free trading platform Midas has been valued at nearly $1 billion after its latest funding round. The company announced a $80 million funding round earlier this week, setting a new record for a Turkish fintech company. The round was led by QED Investors, with new investors including International Finance Corporation (IFC) and existing investors Spark Capital also participating. So far, Midas has raised a total of $140 million. Midas is the owner of Istanbul brokerage Midas Menkul Degerler AS and is regarded as the Turkish version of the "Robinhood" trading platform.
