Australian ASIC has taken down around 3,015 cryptocurrency scam websites in two years

According to Decrypt, the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) has revealed that more than 14,000 scam and phishing websites have been taken down in the past two years, of which about 20% are cryptocurrency scam websites, about 3,015. ASIC said it will expand the scope of the crackdown, from website takedowns to social media advertising, to help protect Australian consumers from scams.
