Hwang Jeong-yin, a South Korean actress accused of misappropriating company 4.20 billion won (about $3.07 million) and investing in virtual currencies, was sentenced to three years in prison at a sentencing hearing in the Jeju District Court, according to Yonhap News Agency.
Previously, Huang Zhengyin took 4.34 billion won from Xunmin Zhengyin Entertainment Company around 2022, and invested 4.20 billion won in virtual currency, suspected of violating the law on aggravated penalties for specific economic crimes (embezzlement of public funds).
