According to local media reports and CryptoSlate sources, Nigeria's National Security Adviser (NSA) has flagged cryptocurrency trading as a national security threat, indicating an imminent crackdown on peer-to-peer (P2P) cryptocurrency trading.
Moniepoint CEO Tosin Eniolorunda said the NSA's classification is expected to pave the way for new regulations banning P2P cryptocurrency trading, with a formal announcement expected soon.
