US Senator Lummis Pushes to Finalize Crypto Market Structure Bill by End of Year

U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis, a Wyoming Republican, plans to send a cryptocurrency market structure bill to the president for signature by the end of the year, building on the House-passed Digital Asset Market Clarity Act as the basis for the Senate version. Lummis said she wants to preserve as many changes to stablecoins and other provisions as possible to respect the work of the House (which was voted for by 78 Democrats). She stressed that the goal is to complete the legislation by Thanksgiving.
