Rahul Advani, co-head of global policy at Ripple, and Caren Tso, Asia Pacific policy manager, presented four best practices for custody at the Digital Asset Custody and Stablecoins Symposium in Singapore: compliance design, customization model, operational resilience and governance. They noted that high standards of custody are key to driving the scale of stablecoins, tokenized assets and cross-border settlements. The symposium highlighted the need for custody infrastructure to support API integration, anti-money laundering tools and programmable functions, while safeguarding tokenized commercial assets. Ripple also introduced its RLUSD stablecoin and custody platform, which is designed to help institutions manage digital assets under compliance and operational standards. Advani and Tso said that as digital finance evolves, custody will be deeply integrated with smart contracts, tokenized assets, and automated compliance, laying the foundation for a scalable, interoperable new financial system.
