The Dow Jones Industries Average Index was up 0.09 percent at the open, the Standard & Poor's 500 index was down 0.04 percent and the Nasdaq Composite was down 0.12 percent. Shares of Intel (INTC. O) were up 6.5 percent after SoftBank paid $2 billion for its stake. The Nasdaq China Gold Dragon was up 0.3 percent, XPeng Motors (XPEV. N) was up 3.2 percent on record second-quarter revenue and iQIYI (IQ. O) was up 2.5 percent.
