According to Ledger Insights, Japanese stablecoin issuer JPYC has obtained Japan's first "funds transfer service provider" license, which is also the first time a relevant license has been granted to a digital currency issuer. Previously, Nikkei News reported that JPYC is expected to receive approval this month and may launch a yen-compliant stablecoin in October.
