On August 19, the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) issued a statement saying that a number of Palestinian factions, including Hamas, have announced their agreement to the latest proposal of Egypt and Qatar, mediators of the ceasefire negotiations in the Gaza Strip, on the ceasefire plan.
