Crypto Internet celebrity sentenced to one year for orchestrating $3.50 million "crypto hijacking"

According to Decrypt, Charles O. Parks III ("CP3O"), a Nebraska man, was sentenced to one year and one day in prison for orchestrating an illegal "crypto hijacking" scheme worth $3.50 million. He made nearly $1 million by stealing cloud computing resources and illegally mining them, which he used to buy luxury goods.
Parks has paid a $500,000 fine and a Mercedes Benz, the amount of which is pending. It is reported that he disguised himself as an educational platform to defraud Cloud as a Service computing resources for mining Ethereum, Litecoin and Monero, and launder money through exchanges and banks.
