Qubic targets Dogecoin after taking control of Monero in "51% Attack"

Shortly after claiming majority control of the Monero network, the Qubic community, a blockchain project focused on artificial intelligence (AI), voted to launch a "51% attack" on Dogecoin. The seizure of control of Monero, which involved a six-block reorganization and caused crypto exchange Kraken to temporarily suspend Monero deposits, also highlighted serious concerns about the security of proof-of-work (PoW) systems. More than 300 community supporters voted to launch an attack on Dogecoin, a well-known memecoin whose market capitalization has exceeded $35 billion.
