According to the official announcement, Japanese listed company Lib Work (stock code: 1431) announced that it will purchase 500 million yen (about 3.40 million US dollars) of bitcoin. The announcement shows that the company will complete the purchase in batches between September and December 2025.
Lib Work said that considering the growing value of bitcoin as "digital gold" and the continued inflation in Japan, the company chose to hold bitcoin to deal with related risks and prepare for future cooperation with overseas business partners.
