Cryptocurrency data aggregation platform CoinGecko today announced a series of strategic leadership changes to fuel its next phase of growth. Co-founder and chief operating officer Bobby Ong has been named CEO, succeeding co-founder and former CEO TM Lee, who will transition to president.
During his tenure as chief operating officer over the past 11 years, Ong has played a key role in shaping CoinGecko's business strategy, expanding its global presence, and enhancing its global reach. While TM Lee will focus on advancing the long-term product vision and leading R & D projects from zero to one. This shift allows it to refocus on foundational innovation while maintaining strategic continuity. In addition, Cedric Chan will be appointed as CTO, responsible for leading CoinGecko's technology roadmap and infrastructure building. Ho Xingyi has been appointed as Product Lead, transitioning from his growth lead role.
