OpenAI has secured $8.30 billion in a $40 billion round of funding, according to a person familiar with the deal, which comes as the company's business accelerates. OpenAI's annual recurring revenue has climbed to $13 billion from $10 billion in June and is expected to top $20 billion by the end of the year, the person said. ChatGPT has also seen rapid growth in the number of paying enterprise users to 5 million from 3 million a few months ago.
